Motion Concept
@ Kontrapunkt
2024

One of the projects I worked with at Kontrapunkt was a case for Skagens Museum, which houses Scandinavian art from the late 1800s. They initially reached out for a new logo, but we ended up creating not only the logo but also a visual identity with design principles for them to communicate on digital platforms through a motion concept. My role was to bring the identity to life through motion. I began the project with my colleague Alex Turner, but later continued the project as motion lead. With the new identity, we developed a dynamic motion concept and new logo animations for their digital announcements.

The logo animations work as a step-by-step animation, gradually revealing the wordmark "S" and later the logotype. It also functions as a single wordmark. The concept is inspired by the painting frame, moving in a dynamic and flexible way revealing information in a natural way.
