Jan Aas,

Is an interactive designer/artist who specializes in motion and interactivity.

He is on a continuous journey to grow and create meaningful projects — both within artistic and commercial communication landscapes. he follows his creative instincts, which leads him to explore natural, unique, and unexpected solutions, rarely approaching a project the same way twice. his interests lies in graphic, interaction, motion, and installation design, where he aim to create work that carries impact through storytelling and communication. He is constantly evolving as a designer, always eager to learn new tools, theories, and principles—understanding when to follow the rules and when to break them.

As part of a three-person motion design team at Kontrapunkt in Copenhagen, He worked on motion concepts, developed design principles, presented to clients, and met deadlines. He explored how visual identities should behave and move, gaining a deeper understanding of natural, behavioral design while refining his own approach within Kontrapunkt’s meticulous standards. He is happy that he as an intern got to act as motion lead in various projects. Along the way, he had the privilege of working with incredibly skilled and inspiring people.

Studying interactive design has been a deep exploration of graphic, motion, and interaction design—learning not only how to produce projects but also how to think as a designer and artist. His studies have centered on storytelling and visual communication with focus on graphic, motion and interactive design, while also expanding into VR/AR, game design, and more. The program has taught him essential theories and principles while encouraging me to develop my own creative identity.
